Aloha, come and count the cost with us
Before we begin the Redemptive Gifts course, we want everyone to know what they are stepping into. This two-week study lays the groundwork. Together we look at the seven pillars of wisdom, count the cost, and then each of us makes a choice.
The whole journey has four goals: discovering your gift, recognizing how God designed you and others, implementing it in daily life, and blessing others with it.
Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:
Proverbs 9:1 (KJV)
- 1Design
- 2Authority
- 3Responsibility
- 4Pain and Suffering
- 5Stewardship
- 6Freedom
- 7Fulfillment
Two Fridays, step by step
Week 1: Discovering and Recognizing
- Wisdom’s invitation (Proverbs 9)
- Pillars 1–4: Design, Authority, Responsibility, and Pain and Suffering
- Scripture, sharing and discussion
Week 2: Implementing and Blessing Others
- Counting the cost (Luke 14)
- Pillars 5–7: Stewardship, Freedom and Fulfillment
- The decision: will you walk the whole course?
Count the cost
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
Luke 14:28 (KJV)
Jesus does not hide the cost, and neither will we. This study is an honest, unhurried look at what the journey asks of us, so that anyone who continues does so with open eyes and a willing heart.
Who is it for?
- Anyone who wants to know how God designed them, and is hungry for more than “good enough.”
- No background needed. You don’t need to know your gift.
- You’ll receive a printed booklet with every Scripture in full (King James Version) and space to write.
- Feel free to bring a friend. Just let us know so we have a booklet for them too.
What comes next
After these two weeks, everyone who chooses to continue goes on to Redemptive Gifts: The Foundation, Arthur Burk’s teaching on the seven redemptive gifts of Romans 12.
