Rhuah Companion journal Sharing switch shown to members in the app

  • When you use the Rhuah Companion, the reflections and Going Deeper answers you write are saved to your account on this website. We save the date each entry was written and the date it was last edited. You can view, edit, delete and download your entries at any time from the Journal tab.
  • Your journal is private by default. If you turn on "Share my journal with Rhuah mentors" on the Journal tab, site administrators can read your entries for support and mentoring; they cannot edit or delete them. We record the date you turned sharing on. You can turn sharing off at any time, and your entries are then hidden from administrators again.
  • To have all of your Companion data deleted, use "Request deletion of my data" on the Journal tab, or contact us. We will email you a link to confirm the request before anything is removed. If your account is deleted, your Companion data is deleted with it

At the top of the Journal tab, a switch labelled "Share my journal with Rhuah mentors" (off by default).

  • EN (off): Your journal is private. Turn on sharing if you'd like Rhuah mentors to read your entries. They can't change or delete them.

  • EN (on): Rhuah mentors can read your entries (not change or delete them). Turn this off at any time to make your journal private again.

  • Spanish and German versions are included in the app.

Note for you (not for the policy)

The switch controls what appears on Users → Companion Journals. WordPress's own Tools → Export Personal Data still includes all Companion entries, because that tool exists to answer legal data requests. Anyone with database or cPanel access can also read the data directly, so the policy wording avoids promising the entries are hidden from the server itself.
