Abuela’s Trip to Europe

Aloha dear family,
As you know abuela has worked hard all her life, loving, caring and serving us all in various ways. As we were planing our trip to Europe, God put it on our hearts to extend the invitation to abuela. And, as you know she never complains, asks or demands anything. This year she turns 90 and i think its a great opportunity to show her how much we love and appreciate her.

Here are the summer plans for abuela

• We will be flying from LAX to Germany and then to Zurich on July 15th and returning September 17th. (2 months)
• Our home base will be Sabina’s mom’s place in Aarau Switzerland. This is about 2 hours from Zurich.
• During these 2 months our plans are to visit Roma, and the vatican and Saint Peterburg, we like to go France and probably Espana. not sure if we will fly or drive, just think on any trip you’ve taken the expenses of food, hotels, car rentals and the miscellaneous expenses that just show up. The flight alone is $1400, which has already been booked. So, please give generously.
• We will also be purchasing a travel wheel chair in order to facilate movement for abuela. This chair is about $300. – After having her in Kauai with us, i realized the importance of having a wheel chair of our own so we are not dependent on others for her comfort and care, I learned this the hard way, when we went to Oahu to see the Nutcracker. On our way back her leg was really hurting from all the walking we did, and i was not able to get a chair because it was late at night.

My ask from the family is for at least $3000 from the family. If we can get more, it would be great! I think this is very doable specially since we are so many.
